Chaplain Corps Members Presented with Individual Performance Awards

The out-going national commander, Major General Joseph Vazquez presents the Distinguished Service Award to out-going chief of chaplains, Chaplain (Colonel) James Hughes, during the award ceremony at the national conference.

On Saturday, 2 September 2017, at the Civil Air Patrol national conference in San Antonio, seven members of the chaplain corps received individual performance awards for their significant contributions to the corps and CAP.  These members were part of a group of fifteen total chaplains and character development instructors to receive awards signed by out-going national commander, Major General Joseph Vazquez. The awardees served on the executive and advisory councils of the corps or were leaders of significant improvements and projects that made the corps a more valuable resource for the nation and CAP leadership.

The chaplain corps’s individual award recipients at the national award ceremony were:

Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Jaimie Henson – Exceptional Service Award
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Timothy Miner – Exceptional Service Award
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Linda Pugsley – Exceptional Service Award
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Marcus Taylor – Exceptional Service Award
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Adma Ross – Meritorious Service Award
